Mellenbye Station
Mellenbye Station is a working cattle station between Morawa and Yalgoo, around 4.5 hours north of Perth — a relaxed outback escape where guests can unwind under incredible night skies, enjoy campfires, and experience true station life.
The property features striking breakaway country, open station landscapes, the “Horse on the Rock,” and a seasonal lake where wildlife including swans may be seen. From August to mid-October, wildflowers come alive — everlastings, orchids, and the famous wreath flower.
Outback charm under a million stars
Accommodation includes cabins, rooms, shearers’ quarters, and camping for caravans, tents, and RVs, with shared amenities and a campers’ kitchen. The historic shearing shed is open to explore and hosts social nights, games, and events.
Under new ownership since December 2025, Mellenbye has recently reopened with ongoing improvements underway, preserving its authentic outback charm while enhancing the guest experience.
